An assortment of projects and exercises I have used to further my craft as a designer and a craftsman.
Facade
Based on a warehouse in Detroit that was repurposed as a christian church. The goal of this exercise is to recreate an existing facade with high fidelity and in two different scales: 1/4"=1'-0" and 1/2"=1'0".
Automated Model Box
The Automated Model Box is an exercise in creating a kinetic and functional scale model using electronically controlled and physically toggled elements. Using an Arduino Uno microcontroller connected to motors and servos, the box is able to be controlled via an easy to use joystick. Functions include a circular revolve and a periaktos that is able to change sides on command. Manual controls include a pull string activated curtain.
